Individual Therapy
Somatic psychotherapy for people seeking greater steadiness, clarity, and depth in how they meet life.
People arrive here for many different reasons. Some are functioning well in their lives while quietly carrying ongoing internal tension or strain.
Others come during periods of transition, stress, or relationship difficulty.
In both cases the work focuses on strengthening nervous system capacity and shifting automatic patterns of response, allowing life to be met with greater steadiness, responsiveness, and freedom.

Therapy becomes a place where bodily experience, emotion, and relationship can be observed and worked with directly as they unfold.

The Work
Somatic and relational psychotherapy
While conversation is part of the process, insight alone rarely creates durable change. Much of human patterning lives below the level of thought, organised through the nervous system.
In our work we pay careful attention to what is happening in the present moment, including:
- bodily sensation and impulses
- emotional movement
- shifts in nervous system regulation
- relational dynamics that arise in the session
What this work can support
-
greater clarity in decision making
-
less reactivity under pressure
-
increased access to vitality and creativity
-
more stable relationships
-
faster recovery after stress
How we begin
The first step is a consultation to understand what is bringing you to therapy and whether this way of working is likely to be a good fit.
Â
If we decide to proceed, we begin with an individual session. This gives us an opportunity to work together directly and develop a clearer sense of what would be most useful.
Â
From there, we agree on the structure of the work.
Ongoing Psychotherapy
Where a concern benefits from continuity, I usually recommend weekly sessions over a focused period of work, often around 12 weeks.
Â
This provides enough consistency for recurring patterns to become clearer and for meaningful change to develop.
Â
The work is reviewed as it progresses rather than assuming an indefinite course of therapy.
Â
Deep-dive sessions
For some people, an extended deep-dive session may be more appropriate.
Â
These five-hour sessions create space to work with a particular area in sustained depth and are generally considered once a working relationship has been established.

Investment
Individual psychotherapy is $220 per 60-minute session.
Sessions are available online or in person in the Byron Shire.
